Early voting began July 17 and continues through Aug. 1.
The primary election is Thursday, August 6.

If you are a registered voter and do not wish to vote in-person due to the COVID-19 situation, you are eligible to request an absentee ballot by mail (the deadline to request your absentee ballot is July 30).
Here are 4 simple steps to requesting your absentee by-mail ballot for the August 6 primary election:
Step 1 Verify you are registered to vote https://sos.tn.gov/products/elections/am-i-registered-vote and meet the criteria to vote by mail https://sos.tn.gov/products/elections/absentee-voting
Step 2 Fill out the absentee by-mail ballot request form https://sos-tn-gov-files.tnsosfiles.com/2020%20Absentee%20Request%20-%20August.pdf
Step 3 Find contact information for your election commission and email/mail them your completed absentee ballot request form by July 30 https://tnsos.org/elections/election_commissions.php
Step 4 Once you receive your ballot, return your ballot by mail in time for your county election commission to receive it no later than the close of polls on Election Day.
